On Friday October 28, 2016, Stephen Wicks Internet Development Company participated in the Gwinnett County School's 'Career Connections' career fair. The fair was held at the Infinite Energy Center and was targeted to middle school students in their school system.
Our owner, Stephen Wicks, was on hand to answer questions of the students and to help give them guidance on the career options of web design and social media marketing. Roughly 5,000 students were on hand to ask career questions from many business owners and community groups who were there to share their wisdom and knowledge with the kids. "I met some serious young people here today. In fact, there were a few who I'm sure will be running huge businesses one day. I'm very impressed with the efforts of Gwinnett County to get these students prepared for the job market of the future." stated Stephen Wicks. This year's event was their 3rd annual affair and we were very proud to be one of the companies selected to participate. As you know, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers will be in high demand in upcoming years. We believe that it is imperative that we arm the youth with information that can help them become successful adults in the future.
