Could Live Chat Be A Good Thing For Your Website?

As a small business owner, it is very important to capture EVERY lead that may come into your website.  You just never know which one will become your next big client or new customer.  One very savvy way to make sure you're prospects always reach you is by having a "Live Chat" option on your website.

This option is not for every business of course,   however; some businesses have a lot of competition and these days customers have very short patience and even shorter attention spans.

In the past, it may have been an okay thing for clients to wait for your answer to their question via email or a returned phone call, but today it's becoming much more common for those potential clients to simply move on to the next website where they can get their questions answered more quickly.

There are a few decent "Live Chat" options out there.  Two decent options that I know of are a hosted chat software from LiveChat.Com and a downloaded software option from CoffeeCup.Com.  The LiveChat.Com option is good for those website owners who don't know too much about coding or html.  The CoffeeCup.Com software is good for website developers who know a little coding and have html experience.

These are two good options to help you stay on top of leads when they visit your website in real time.  Ultimately, you have to do your own investigation and pick the software option that makes the most sense for YOUR business.

Competition is stiff these days and every little bit helps keep you in business!

Great article! Talking about live chat, I accidentally came across inside, and after looking through their site http://www.inside.tm/, it morphs a business website into a virtual storefront so business personnel can see and help their site visitors in real-time using chat.
